Environment Lovers
As an avid environmental patriot, environmental lovers usually feel guilty whenever they are and/or see other individuals use plastics or non-biodegradable materials that result in an enormous amount of wastage and pollution that harms our environment.
Unlike its “peers”, edible cutleries are produced to minimize and/or replace the usage of plastic cutleries. As we all know, plastic takes a long time to be disposed of and this causes pollution. Edible spoon, as its name suggests, is a fully biodegradable and edible cutlery, which can be directly eaten by us or be left to decompose within 4-5 days after being used as a cutlery. Furthermore, it is also edible for animals. Hence, it would be a “cleaner” option for the benefits of our environment. This is beneficial for environment lover as they will no longer feel guilty when they need or use edible spoons for their meal.
Consumers
Moving on, edible spoon also helps consumers in improving their nutrition intake. This product is made using healthy ingredients such as sorghum that help our digestive system. Nutritionists stated that sorghum contains high nutritional value because of the protein, fibre and unsaturated fats inside it. Sorghum is made of 75% of carbohydrate which breaks down into glucose and becomes the energy for our brain, muscles, and other cells. It also contains iron, zinc, calcium and also vitamins B that is good for consumers’ health. Some specialty sorghum also contains high antioxidants which are proven to lower chance of getting cancer, diabetes or heart diseases.
Besides, edible spoon also solves starvation problem as consumers can eat the spoon directly as a food. Since it is lightweight and portable, consumers can bring along the edible spoon wherever they go. Therefore, edible spoons are a carry-on solution for starvation. In conclusion, the spoon itself is like nutritious millet-based bread solves starving.

Farmers
Besides, edible spoons benefit farmers by encouraging the growth of sorghum. Sorghum is one of the essential cereal grain crops in our world due to its ability grow well in different environments. It is a naturally drought tolerant plant which makes the planting process more effectively and efficiently. Sorghum, the base ingredient of Edible spoon, decreases the reliance on using rice. When the usage of edible spoon increased, farmers can convert most of their paddy field into the sorghum field which requires less water to grow but harvests in abundance. This also helps farmers to reduce their production because producing sorghum has a lower cost of production and higher return rate in comparison to producing paddy.
